[VIDEO] This Senior Citizen’s Tiny Trailer Is Beyond Cool!
Who knew you could pack so much into a tiny mobile space like this…
Sharon had a long and successful career as a pharmacist. When she retired, she knew she wanted to travel. So she looked up trailers that her Jeep Wrangler could easily pull.
When Sharon retired from her career as a pharmacist in May 2014, the “gypsy at heart” decided to take her life in a whole new direction. She bought herself a 2015 T@B M@x S model teardrop trailer and embarked on a nomadic lifestyle!
Sharon hauls the trailer with her 4-door Jeep Wrangler and set out to live in it full-time.
The trailer cost her $15,000 plus taxes, and she has never regretted her choice. It is super light- it weighs less than 1700 pounds dry- and it is easily hauled by her Jeep. As she confesses, she sometimes even wonders if it’s still there.
The trailer has everything she needs to live comfortably, including a working toilet and shower.
The kitchen has a fridge that runs on propane, plug-in electricity or battery, a two-burner stove, and a sink. Although you can perfectly cook in there, Sharon often prefers to cook outside, especially when she cooks something smelly like onions.
The trailer also offers a toilet with a shower. It is probably the tiniest shower you’ve ever seen in your life, and a tall person would literally need to sit on the toilet in order to have a shower, but for Sharon, this is not a problem!
There is a CD/DVD player and radio, while there is also a flat-screen TV where she can watch movies or TV. There is adequate seating space to have company over, but Sharon prefers to keep one of the sofas folded over as a bed most of the time.
Watch Sharon as she opens up for the first time her tiny trailer via CheapRVliving:
She’s lived in so many different places, most of the time not even knowing who her neighbors were or who was across the street. And yet out on the road, she’s met lots of people whom she’s had dinners with and has kept in touch with over time.
Sharon does envy those with the bigger vans where they can just “jump in and go”, but since she’s on the road with her 2 chihuahuas and the fact that she loves setting up camp, this setup works better for her.
Bob once again lets the man in him out saying that even though he has a van, he envies Sharon’s Jeep. The comfort and overall ability of the Wrangler make it more versatile than a van. Plus it’s handsome.
He bids farewell to Sharon, thanking her for her time all the while keeping his camera on her. See that smile on Sharon’s face? Genuine happiness.
