Trump Just Dropped A Bombshell About Two Potential V.P. Candidates

In a recent interview, former President Donald Trump discussed potential candidates for his vice presidential running mate, mentioning two individuals when asked about his considerations. When questioned by Maria Bartiromo on Sunday, Trump revealed that he is contemplating Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.

While acknowledging the presence of numerous qualified individuals, Trump asserted that he has not rushed into making a decision, emphasizing the need for careful consideration. He highlighted that the key criterion for his vice president is someone who would excel as a president.

“I have a lot of good people. We have a lot of really good people,” Trump stated. “I have a lot of good ideas, but I haven’t — and there’s no reason to do that quickly.”

Trump expressed his engagement with various potential candidates, citing a conversation with Sen. Tim Scott. He shared his observation that Scott, who initially presented himself in a low-key manner, emerged as a strong advocate for Trump in recent weeks.

“I called Tim Scott … and I said, ‘you’re a much better candidate for me than you are for yourself.’ When I watched Tim, he was fine, he was good, but he was very low-key, et cetera, et cetera,” Trump recounted. “For me, he’s been a real tiger. He’s been incredible. And others have too.”

While considering the possibility of Sen. Tim Scott, Trump emphasized the importance of endorsements, noting that Scott had previously endorsed him. Trump also praised Governor Kristi Noem for her remarkable efforts in supporting him and recalled her statement expressing reluctance to run against him due to the belief that she couldn’t defeat him.

In conclusion, Trump hinted at the ongoing evaluation of potential running mates, underlining the qualities he values in a vice president. The decision-making process remains deliberate, ensuring that the selected individual aligns with Trump’s vision for effective leadership.
