He Was Charged For Vandalizing A Tampon Dispenser. Where It Was Will Blow You Away!

In the News

An elected representative and school administrators are condemning an act of vandalism in a Southern Illinois University bathroom. Earlier this year House Bill 641 established that all campus restrooms should be stocked with menstrual hygiene products. There were several incidents in October where the products were thrown away or tampered with.

The Bias Incident Response Team at SIUE says that they notified faculty, students, and staff that incidents like this are transphobic. Since the message went out they have been getting tips about more incidents.

A student has admitted to dumping the menstrual hygiene products into the men’s room trash can. This is considered an act of vandalism and a violation of the Student Code of Conduct. The student is now facing discipline that includes educational sanctions.

State Representative Katie Stuart:

“I am infuriated and disgusted by the display of bigotry and cowardice shown by a small group on the campus at SIUe. Instead of using compassion, the individuals involved attempted to stoke fear through vandalism.

This is why I work toward menstrual equity. I sponsored House Bill 641, which requires all college campuses to provide free menstrual hygiene products in all of the restrooms within campus boundaries, which was signed into law in the summer. Period products are necessary items, like soap and toilet paper, that should be easily accessible to anyone who needs them.

If the sight of a tampon or pad fills someone with so much rage they have to resort to such immature extremes, that is more evidence that menstruation has to come out of the shadows and whispers and be recognized as the natural biological function it is.”

STATE REPRESENTATIVE KATIE STUART

SIUE’s Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Dr. Jessica Harris states:

“The availability of menstrual hygiene products in all public restrooms on our campus is not only consistent with our responsibilities under state law, it also reflects our understanding that menstrual stigma and period poverty can hit transgender and non-binary people particularly hard. To ensure that all persons feel safe using the restroom consistent with their gender identity, there must be access to free menstrual hygiene products in all campus restrooms.

Denying access to menstrual hygiene products to anyone who needs them is denying them part of their dignity. Destroying or tampering with the menstrual products in campus restrooms violates our community standards and persons found responsible will face discipline. We ask for your vigilance in observing and reporting any future incidents.”

  1. This is ridiculous. If a person is menstruating, then they are clearly women and should use the women’s facilities until they complete their transition. If they are reluctant to do that, then they are clearly undecided on their transition and should remain women until they go through with it.

  2. I’m glad that my college years are well behind me. My devious mind began to see various wrinkles of vandalism of an absurd law imposed on individuals that are adult enough to recognize the mental illness of thinking men need tampons or pads. This idiot state representative and the clown Dr. Inclusion forgot that diversity also includes people with common sense, morals, and non-conformists. If I were that doctor and her woke morons I’d be worried that some smart student doesn’t collect up a large bag of used tampons and pads and start leaving them on their desks and cars.

  3. Sounds to like those on this response team and those in the halls of the States Congress need to go back to school and retake Biology. Men do not have a menstrual cycle. That is a burden only women have. LIBERALS have this mantra of Follow the science but won’t do so themselves. There is NO such Hong as a Transgender. See gender is set in ones DNA and man CANNOT alter DNA so they CANNOT change a person’s gender. They well the GREEDY QUACKS claiming that they can change someone’s gender only make that claim so they have a steady paycheck. The proof of that FACT is that those who have completed their so called Change of gender has to have constant sources via a doctor of either the Hormones or Testosterone that allows Nature to be suppressed. They also have to have counseling every week to reenforce the LIE that their gender has been changed. If they gender has TRULY been CHANGED as the term Transgender implies they would not need these things. The TRUTH is that all these poor mentally ill souls are is Mutilated bodies and the same mental problem they had from the start. They DENY REALITY and making them look like another gender does NOTHING to fix their mental problem.

  4. Assuming it was a male throwing away the dispenser in a male bathroom, why was it in there in the first place. A transvestite, if serious, would likely have started the procedure to end their period. If in a girl’s bathroom, why would any girl throw it away

  5. Stupidity knows no bounds, on both sides of this argument. Men should be taught basic biology and menstrual facts early and at home. They would then be comfortable around said products. Even when stupid laws such as this one are forced upon society.
By basic biology dictates, no one needing menstrual products should be using a men’s room nor
should anyone with a penis be allowed to use a female bathroom.
There are only two genders everything else is just an emotional construct to pander to
    liberal ideology.

  6. If you’re menstruating, you’re not a guy, no matter what you want to think. If you need female products, you belong in the female restroom. If you don’t ‘need’ them, but you just want to ‘use’ them, that doesn’t make you a female, that makes you a sexual deviant.

  7. Do not enroll in colleges or schools with woke or crt agendas. Pull your children out and place them in schools that have American values or home school them. When these schools loose money they will wise up or get shut down.

  8. Is the article poorly written or are there actually tampon dispensers in men’s restrooms too? The article states ” ALL ” restrooms. If that’s true I think that is a poorly written law and quite stupid of the legislators who crafted and passed it.

  9. You could certainly see your skills in the work you write. The world hopes for more passionate writers like you who aren’t afraid to say how they believe. Always follow your heart.
