Biden Caught Secretly Selling Off Trump-era Border Wall Parts: Exposé

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A new report has caught the Biden administration reportedly selling off material intended for the construction of the border wall first initiated during the Trump presidency.

The move, first reported by the New York Post on Saturday, sparked outrage among Republican leaders who deemed the controversial sale as a threat to national security and an utter waste of taxpayer dollars.

As unveiled by the Post, “Since April, GovPlanet, an online auction house specializing in military surplus, has sold 81 lots of steel ‘square structural tubes’ — intended for use as vertical bollards in the border barrier’s 30-foot-tall panels — hauling in about $2 million.”

The apparently secret sale comes on the heels of Republican-sponsored legislation that received the green light from the Democratic-led Senate. The legislation would mandate Biden to expand the already-existing border walls, a move that garnered support from several prominent GOP figures.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., voiced her criticism via a statement on X (formerly Twitter). “Biden is quietly auctioning off millions of dollars worth of border wall parts from the Trump administration,” Blackburn said.

The Tennessee lawmaker added, “This includes $300 million in taxpayer-funded wall components that have been left to rust since Biden took office. This is disgraceful.”

Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that Biden should be using these materials for their intended purpose.

“Instead of securing the border, President Biden is auctioning off taxpayer-funded wall materials for pennies on the dollar,” Ernst remarked. “He cannot avoid Congress’ accountability and must use these parts for their intended purposes. BUILD the wall and FINISH it!”

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., depicted the situation as emblematic of the administration’s approach, saying, “Leaving the border open to terrorists while selling border security materials at a loss is Bidenomics in a nutshell.”

In comments to the Post, Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y. slammed the Biden regime’s decision to get rid of the materials. “Our borders continue to be overrun by an unprecedented number of illegal immigrants, turning every district into a border district, and compromising our national security,” Stefanik said.
