Acquitted AG Ken Paxton Gives Biden Ultimatum: ‘Buckle Up’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A defiant Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, recently acquitted following a controversial impeachment trial, issued a stern warning to President Joe Biden, vowing to challenge what he termed “lawless policies.”

In a press statement issued shortly after his acquittal, Paxton did not mince words, denouncing the impeachment process as a politically motivated attack orchestrated by the Biden administration.

In a direct challenge to Biden, Paxton warned, “Buckle up because your lawless policies will not go unchallenged. We will not allow you to shred the constitution and infringe on the rights of Texas. You will be held accountable.”

Paxton’s remarks came after the Texas Senate acquitted him in an infamous impeachment trial that lasted 10 days.

Earlier in the statement, Paxton explicitly accused the Biden administration of igniting what prominent Republican voices deemed to be a witch hunt.

“The sham impeachment coordinated by the Biden Administration with liberal House Speaker Dade Phelan and his kangaroo court has cost taxpayers millions of dollars, disrupted the work of the Office of Attorney General and left a dark and permanent stain on the Texas House,” Paxton asserted.

He added, “The weaponization of the impeachment process to settle political differences is not only wrong, it is immoral and corrupt.”

Paxton, who had been facing allegations of political corruption, expressed gratitude to those who supported him during the trial. “Now that this shameful process is over, my work to defend our constitutional rights will resume. Thank you to everyone who has stood with us during this time.”

Paxton’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, echoed the sentiment, fiercely defending his client during the impeachment trial. “There is shame here, and the shame sits right there that they would bring this case in this chamber with no evidence,” Buzbee exclaimed.

“I am proud to represent Attorney General Ken Paxton. If this can happen to him, it can happen to anyone,” he added.
