A Kamala Presidency Should ‘Send a Chill up Every American’s Spine’: Haley

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former UN Ambassador and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley expressed her reservations about the potential of a Kamala Harris presidency.

In a Sunday interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Haley raised concerns that a White House led by Harris should “send a chill up every American’s spine.”

“My concern is we cannot have Kamala Harris as president,” she asserted on Sunday Morning Futures. “We need a new generational leader that will bring in not only Republicans, but we will pull back the Independents. We will bring in Hispanics. We will bring in the Asian community.”

Bartiromo pressed Haley about the possibility of withdrawing from the Republican presidential race to support the frontrunner, former President Donald Trump.

“[Kari Lake] is calling on all of the candidates to pause the campaign to get behind Donald Trump because of two applications of the law,” Bartiromo asked Haley. “I suppose you’re not considering that.”

In response, Haley said she is focused on the challenges facing the nation. “I appreciate anybody’s view on what should happen but we have our country to save, and I’m not going to stop until we save her,” she asserted before highlighting the issues facing the country under the Biden administration.

“I think we look at the fact that we’re $32 trillion in debt,” she added. “You’ve got crime that is up. You’ve got a lack of transparency in the classroom. You’ve got an open border and we have threats facing us around the world.”

Haley discussed the necessity for new leaders.  “I think that we need a new generational leader,” Haley continued. “We have some serious problems we need new solutions. We cannot have any distractions that we cannot deal with negativity of the past. We have to go forward and I think the American people are ready to go forward.”

Earlier in the interview, Haley referred to Trump as her friend. She expressed pride in her service during his administration while also indicating that her current aspirations are focused on the White House.
